The mise en scene in this short film is very basic which is why i gave it a low level 2, the mise en scene in this short film only seems to be the school media room and the street. The antagonist wears a red hooded jumper which signifies that his character will be violent or evil. The is very limited use of props in this film, only the car, apple and computers which shows no creativity. The apple is significant to the narrative which is important for the spectators. For the narrative in the film i feel that the lighting could have been concentrated more on and if re-filmed could have created tension and suspense for the viewer. The cinematography is also very limited and there are alot of errors. One of these errors is where the camera concentrates on the apple and the camera is very unsteady and seems that the group could have filmed that shot again. The shots used are very limited and there is no advanced level of cinematography, there are some tracking shots used where as a spectator we follow the antagonist to his car. There is some basic use of camera work where there are some POV shots used from the interior of the car positioning the audience with the antagonist. The music used does not create any tension at all and from one track just switches to another, however if they faded the tracks together the soundtrack would have been better. The are no real sound effects used in the short film, there should least be a crash sound used when the victim is hit by the car giving it a realistic feeling for the spectators. The editing used is cross cutting from the antagonist to the victim so that we can see what is happening from both of there perspectives. There is some fades used where the victim is dead on the floor and the camera fades to show that victim has passed, but again there is only basic use of editing and nothing creative is used.
